This will be a quick post because of the Thanksgiving holiday, but I had to write (fast!) to tell you about this week’s recipient. I have no idea how or if this one will ever work, but wow, I REALLY hope it does!
She goes by the name “MaryC”, and her blog is so simple and sweet. Wait till you see it! It is called “People Are Wonderful“, and the subtitle says it all: “Dedicated to proclaiming and applauding the wonderful people among us”. Every week or so she writes a tribute to someone she thinks is wonderful. That’s it! How beautiful is that? How thoughtful? How utterly simple and sweet and wonderful!?
One of her posts that really touched me was “24 kabillion stars“. Go ahead and read it and I’ll bet you will all agree that the person who deserves the biggest gold star of all is MaryC herself!
MaryC, I hope you consider this post to be your gold star. Because I think YOU are absolutely wonderful. You admit in your bio to loving shoes, and it’s my hope that you’ll put my gift towards a really fantastic pair.
Now, readers: You’ll have to keep your fingers crossed for me on this one. It’s a toughie: The only info I have for this recipient is her e-mail, and I’m not at all sure that Giving Anonymously can go on only that. I’m going to try, though, and with a little luck, I REALLY hope it works!
MaryC, I hope you get your gift. And if you do, and you are reading this now, then THANK YOU for your lovely blog, you wonderful person you!

I sent Giving Anonymously an e-mail explaining the situation. Don’t know if they are there on the day after Thanksgiving — I almost hope they’re not. They should be at home, eating turkey leftovers. Hopefully, though, I’ll hear back from them Monday and get MaryC hooked up with her gift!

There’s an update: Giving Anonymously have sent MaryC an e-mail and will let me know if she writes them back. How great are they? They are truly going above and beyond. Hooray!!

MaryC accepted her gift! Woo-hoo!!! Giving Anonymously actually posted to her blog to get her attention, which I think is so fun and cool. And I just posted and told her to come here.
