I have a wonderful new development to announce: I have been SO inspired and excited by all of the wonderful Elf giving stories, that I am planning to introduce the ability for Elves to post their own giving stories, as guest Elf posters! My inspiration, as usual, is the wonderful myeverydaymagic.com. I’m hoping it will work similarly. Won’t that be fun?

While I’m figuring out how to make that happen, I want to share a giving story from Willow, who posted about it originally on Elf Chat. Here is what she wrote:

I DID IT!!! Oh my, it was fun and scary too I went out to run errands with two envelopes they each held a ABM card, a note I’d written with more explanation and $10. One note was for more random and one was for someone that touched me.

I was at my last stop, Trader Joe’s, when I saw an employee. She LIT UP THE STORE with her smile. She was talking to an upset baby and her energy was calming the baby and the mom. She just glowed and was brightening everyone in her line.

I was in another line, so I check out and then walked up to her and said “Hi, this is for you.” She looked confused and said “for me?”. “Yes, have a great day!” and I BOLTED out of there – LOL! It was so funny! I have no idea what her reaction will be but she is so filled with joy, I can only imagine that it will just be another bright spot for her.

So. Much. Fun.!!!!!

We are heading out but I want to share. Thanks for this, my vibration is so high!

Which reminds me that I loved that I was looking, and finding so many sweet moments when I was out. Noticing joy when I might have buzzed past. I love that!

Isn’t this so wonderful and SO fantastically FUN! I am really hoping the recipient checks in here and reads this. People who light up stores with their brightness really need to see how wonderful they are, and they need to see that WE see how wonderful they are.
