This week’s recipient is inspired by MamaElf, who has been Elf-giving like crazy (hooray for MamaElf!). She shared in Elf Chat that for one of her recipients, she wrote a poem. We all agreed that it was a simply fantastic idea, and that there are few things as lovely as receiving a heartfelt, handwritten note or letter. It can help us feel seen, appreciated, and acknowledged, and that’s the least of it!
Well, if you can believe it, I just happen to know of an absolutely lovely person who specializes in writing exactly these sorts of notes. Naturally, I thought of her instantly, and when I did, I got those instant chills that always tell me “this is the one!”.
This person has always felt pulled to send personal, handwritten notes and letters, and has even said that writing them is part of her life purpose. She used to have (and maybe still does?) a website offering a note service — I think the idea was that you would sign up on her mailing list, and every so often in your mailbox you would find a totally personal letter, written just for you, saying just the thing you most needed to hear.
Now, as far as I can tell, the only kind of person who would ever think of doing something like that is an utterly wonderful person.
Her name is April. I happen to know (by my sneaky Elfish ways) that she and her family have fallen on some hard times recently. She remains consistently hopeful and optimistic, and I feel optimistic for her, too. I have no doubt that her hard times will be temporary. Nonetheless, I figure she could use a gift, and she sure as heck deserves one. So, naturally, I used my sneaky Elfish ways to obtain her PayPal address!
April: Thank you for all that you do. I know that the amount I am gifting you is not anywhere near enough to change your life, but I do hope that it’s enough to help you feel that you are seen, appreciated, and cared for. You are a real blessing to this world. I am sending HUGE wishes of luck and abundance your way, that you have a swift turnaround in your situation, and that it all happen in a totally easy, quick, and magical way!
Hooray!
Happy Holidays, April!

How wonderful! April writes very sweet notes. She is full of kindness and has great intuition. I’m so happy you chose her, Abundance Elf!
Plus, she makes wonderful salves, including yummy lip balm and something that really keeps the mosquitoes away!

I was just alerted to the fact that April may not have an internet connection right now, and so may not ever realize that she’s got a gift in her PayPal account. Hmmmmm… I don’t suppose anyone knows (or knows anyone who knows) her phone number and address and could let her know to head to the library to look online?

ABM, I just saw a post from her over on the forums, so she’s online today. I assume she’d check email as well? Maybe a PM there would help too, as we know she’s checking in there at least.
And you are just so sweet and generous! xoxox
