Did any of you see this story in the news? “Mystery Couple Starts Magical Chain Reaction”. Such a wonderful story, and such a testament to what can be started with a simple act of giving. And I just LOVE that this story was featured right up top on my mainstream news page! How cool is that? It warmed me right up.
Elf Tuesday warms me right up, too, and today I’m going to do something fun in honor of the Holiday. I should explain that on Saturday I’ll be leaving for an extended vacation (yay!). I’ll be gone for nearly three weeks, which means that I’ll be missing the next three Elf Tuesdays (boo!). To make up for the long absence, today I am going to be awarding gifting money to THREE different Elves!
Doing this serves two purposes: 1) It’s just really fun, and 2) I’m hoping to inspire some Elf-posting over the weeks that I’m gone. I won’t have time to be posting and keeping the site fresh while I’m away, but I do hope to be able to check in once per day or so, which means I could easily “approve” any posts you Elves happen to write. That way, even though I’m gone, the site can stay fresh and active. (If any of you have any questions about how to post to the site, please don’t hesitate to ask.)

Oh my gosh, you guys, check out http://www.peoplearewonderful.com. Can you believe it?!?! I am glowing like crazy. How amazing is MaryC?!?!
I have to tell you, too, she left me a voice mail (through http://www.givinganonymously.org) that made me blubber. Actually, it was one of those where she made me laugh, then cry, then laugh again. I played it for my husband, and even he was tearing up! She truly is an amazing individual.
