I so agree with you AbM about making a difference. Mahatma Ghandi said “Be the change you want to see in the world” every little thing we do makes a difference and helps along change for the better. Even if it doesn’t seem like that to us.

Keep on being the magical selves that you are AbM and elves and every single one reading this. You just don’t know what effect you will have on the world by doing something small to make a difference. Not every act of change has to be something gigantic it can simply be to make someone smile and brighten up their day and they might make someone smile and so on and so on and before you know it you’ve brightened 100 people’s day without even knowing it and that sounds like a good thing to me.

Welcome ravenpixie – your name contains 2 of my favourite things Ravens and Pixies hehe.

thanks for that you two, it was what I needed to read today. And I agree, as overwhelming as it can feel each small act has a ripple effect. Let’s not forget that our small “gifts” can affect hundreds of people.

Hi everyone!

I do SO agree with ABM – it can feel overwhelming and insignificant to try to address the great suffering in the world. I wrote an article abou this topic for my eZine that was published today, but I posted it as a blog post, too: http://owningpink.ning.com/profiles/blogs/resilience-1

It is SO important that we share the stories of the starfish! Another of my favorite quotes is “If we could all light a candle, there would be a tremendous light.” (I’m sorry I don’t know to whom to attribute the quote!)

So let’s keep lighting our small candles and shining that tremendous light!
