I have taken this phrase to a whole new level! I used to feel a negative vibe when I heard these words, like there is loss involved. But now I hear it and think about abundance, sharing, and giving.
Today when I was in a coffee shop I was journaling and sipping on an iced mocha. There was a newspaper on the table in front of me, so I opened it straight to the funnies and enjoyed myself for a good ten minutes, giggling there in the shop and enjoying strange looks from others. As I looked for my calendar book in my bag, I found one of my ABM cards. I thought to myself about what I could do right then and there. I felt mischievous, and pulled a dollar out of my wallet, folding it behind the card. I put it in the newspaper on the funnies page, closed the newspaper and gathered my things to head to work.
I am feeling giddy wondering who will happen upon the mysterious little gift! Get your laughs and some magic all in one! Then I thought about the phrase “Another day, another dollar” and was feeling quite magical about it! How many other tricky little places could I tuck these little magical gifts of abundance? The possibilities are endless!

Oh my goodness, I LOVE this post. Love love LOVE it. I am SO going to start carrying cards with one dollar paper clipped to the back. How has this never occurred to me before? What absolute fun — you are an inspiration!

p.s. to Serena: I hope you don’t mind I added that photo before I made your post live. I know the colors clash pretty awfully with the site, but it fit so perfectly theme-wise I couldn’t resist, lol. Let me know if you want me to take it down or put something else in its place, and I’ll do it instantly.

This is one of my more favorite things to do…but I’ve never just clipped it to the card before! How inspired! Thanks for the new trick!

Ooh, yes, I love this idea! Thanks so much for sharing it!
You know, I often forget to check Elf Chat and it was only when Willow mentioned to me that she had posted that I thought to look back there again. And then I got to read her love story about giving the bouquet of flowers – and many others as well.
I would love for more elves to post their ideas for simple ways to share the magic on the “main stage” – I find them all so inspiring!!

Juno, me too! I love Elf Chat but things definitely get lost there, and there are so many wonderful stories that end up buried.
Never be afraid to toot your horns, Elves — this blog is for YOU!

What a wonderful idea!!! Wonderful! I’ve got to do it.
AbM, could you resend cards now that the holidays are over and such? My printer’s almost out of ink and wouldn’t do your site justice. I *could* do this without the cards, but I’d rather do it with, so the receiver’s have some idea of what’s going on.

Fisyr, oh my gosh, you never got your cards! I am so sorry! I just assumed that you had received them at some point. I wonder where the heck they went? (I’m imagining some postal worker opening it up and wondering what the heck with all the Elf talk, lol.)
Well I am sending them out TODAY, along with some others I’ve been slacking on. Thank you for being so patient!
