10 easy ways to get magically rich

Here’s my list of ten things you can do to magically increase your wealth and abundance. They are easy, fun, and free, and take less than a minute each!

1. Go outside, look up at the sky and imagine gold coins falling from the sky and landing all over your yard, your house, your stoop, and you. Take a deep breath, keep your face to the sky, smile huge, and spread out your arms to catch the gold.

2. Go to your front door. Open the door and as the fresh air comes in, say, “I invite the spirit and energy of joyful abundance into this home.” Imagine it pouring in through the open door like a flood. This can take just a few seconds (especially if it’s 20 degrees outside, lol) and it’s a really nice (and powerful!) way to start the day every morning.

3. Stand in your front doorway looking towards the back of the house. Now walk to the very back, left-hand corner of your house. It doesn’t matter what room you’re in, just look at that corner and see what’s there. Now remove one thing from that corner that feels “poor” to you. If something is ripped or broken or dirty or cheap, take it out of that corner. Get rid of it. If there is nothing there, then sweep it fresh and clean. Then, add one thing to that corner that feels “rich” to you. It can be small or large — a crystal, a vase, a flower, a photograph. As you do it, focus on the object and the feeling of being in a gorgeous home. Say, “I release my past and live in wealth and prosperity now.” (If you don’t want to put an object there, just bless the corner and make it beautiful in your imagination — it works just as well!)

4. Go tear off a small piece of scratch paper and write on it, “I am rich!” Put it in your pocket and carry it around for the rest of the day.

5. Right this very moment: Look around the room you are in. Choose one item that is visible to you that you are glad is yours. It could be your table, a sink faucet, your oven, your washing machine, your computer: Anything at all. Now, close your eyes (briefly) and imagine not owning this thing. Think about how many people on this planet do not own this thing, or anything like it. Now open your eyes, see this thing that you have, and feel how extremely lucky you are. Bask in that feeling for a few seconds, and then let it go.

6. Find your wallet. Take out all of the paper money and organize it. Smooth each bill out, un-creasing the corners and making it look nice and neat. Then stack the bills with the largest at the back and the smallest at the front. Make them all face the same way (with heads facing you). Before you return them to your wallet, make sure your billfold is clean and empty. Put your newly organized money back into the nice clean billfold and say, “I respect and take care of my money.” (Money loves to flow to people who are good stewards of it.)

7. Set a timer for exactly one minute and be sure that you will be undisturbed for that time. (A locked bathroom works nicely for this :D ). Close your eyes and breathe in and out very deeply. With every inbreath, say to yourself, “I joyfully receive magical blessings of wealth and abundance.” With every out-breath say to yourself, “I easily release all blocks to wealth and abundance.” That’s it!

8. If you have a backyard, look out into it and use your imagination to plant a giant “money-magnet”. Money magnets are unique for every person, so everyone’s will be a little different. What does yours look like? How big is it? What shape is it? What color? Is it buried in the ground, or floating in the air (or something in-between)? Does it sparkle and glow? Does it have a temperature? A texture? Does it make a sound? Whatever form it takes, use your imagination to watch as suddenly, from absolutely every direction, money and wealth is just flowing to you like mad, attracted by the power and strength of your giant money-magnet. (Those without yards can plant one right in, under, or over their homes, of course. I recommend the back left-hand corner of the house.)

9. When you are in bed tonight, just as you are ready to drift into sleep, ask to connect with your Fairy Godmother. Get an image of her visually, and a sense of her voice and her temperament. Is she soft and gentle and kind? Strong and fierce? Or maybe she’s a big goof-ball, laughing and having fun? Is she big like a life-sized person, or tiny like a fairy? Whoever she is, ask her to bless you while you sleep. Make a wish. Fall asleep knowing that magic and miracles are real. When you wake up, notice what your thoughts and feelings are, or if you had any dreams. If you have received any messages or guidance, follow it. Also, remember to say thank you.

10. Give something away. It doesn’t matter how small. Give a flower, a charm, a dollar, a cookie. Give anything! As you do it, say to yourself: “I ask that this gift be returned to me, with joy, times one hundred.” As you say it, feel the thrill that runs through you.

And so it is. Magic! Yay!

Now back to business: I’m going to be crazy-busy and mostly away from my computer for the next two weeks. Rather than be stressed or sad about it, I’ve decided to gift six Elves over the next two weeks (three today and three next Tuesday) to help pick up my slack. I can’t wait to see what you all do!

The three Elf winners for this week are…

Willow and…

Serendipity and…

Tawny Rajah (our newest Elf!)

Hooray! Congrats! Enjoy! And remember, if you have any questions about how to write a post, check out the new Elf FAQ.

I would love to hear your feedback on these. Which suggestions resonated with you? Which are you likely to try first? Have you done any already?

Also, if any of you try #8, the money magnet, I would love to hear what yours looks like. There is such tremendous variety. It would also be fun to hear about your fairy godmothers, or what object you took out of your back left corner, or what the rush of abundance energy looked like coming in through your front door. (Mine is bright purple sometimes, like a wave, sometimes golden or green like money, and very often pink and sparkly like the website, or like thousands of tiny fairies flying into my house, lol.)

And I would *of course* love to hear any results from experimenting with these exercises. I’ve had amazing luck with so many of these: They really work!

Hooray for 3 elves winning! That really triples the excitement!

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions!

I like them all (and I already do #6 and #10 regularly) but I am most excited about #3. I’ve been meaning to find out more about Feng Shui for attracting abundance, but whenever I pick up a book I feel challenged by the “directions” because my house has a layout that doesn’t conform well to the bagua (is that the name?). So I really appreciate your clear directions and I know I will be able to follow them. I’m working in the hospital tonight, but I can’t wait to get home and try this one out!

Thanks again for a great post!

    Love, Juno

Juno: I’m so glad you liked #3. I just adore feng shui, and have the most wonderful luck with it. I wasn’t sure if I should explain in my post about the back left-hand corner being the “prosperity corner”, but of course it is. My prosperity corner is actually outside of my house, which you would think would be a bad thing, but a feng shui consultant told me to bury an amethyst crystal in the ground to anchor the corner outside, and man, we got a huge windfall of money not long after that!

angel: Aren’t those little Elf drawings the cutest? I found them on a website selling stationary for girls, and I think they are done by an artist named “Emma Layne” although I couldn’t find any info about her on the web. I wanted to link to her site and give her credit, but instead I just had to link to the site that sells the stationary.

Elviolith: You’re the second person who has mentioned to me this week about Elfing with your daughter. I just love having kids involved in this — they are such naturals!

Thanks for the comments, all of you. You’re the best!

Correction on the cute little fairy drawings: Emma Layne isn’t the name of the artist, it’s the name of the stationary. They are all designed (I think) by the website owner of http://www.poshandpampered.com. Very cute stuff at that site. Just wanted to give credit where credit is due!

I can’t wait to try them all! What a fun post :)

I am so grateful to be a winner this week!! I am brewing with ideas. I may keep doing what I’m doing with little fun gifts to many or may look for something bigger. I can’t decide. I know it will come to me and I’ll post about right away.

    Thanks!!!
