Who is Abundance By Magic?  (Who is the woman who started this?)

I’m just a very lucky person who wants to share her luck with you!   More specifically, I am mom to the two most wonderful kids in the universe, wife to the most amazing husband on the planet, and daughter to the two most generous and giving parents in the world.  Not bad, eh?  I also live in a gorgeous house in the middle of a beautiful forest, and to top it off, I have the sweetest dog in the world.  (Not that it’s all perfect;  I have a cat who is frankly a little bit pesty.)

What do you look like?

I am average height and average weight. I have average brown hair and average brown eyes, with an average sized nose and average everything else. My husband says I’m beautiful, but in truth I am utterly non-descript and would blend in to any crowd, which is *exactly* how I like it.

So how rich ARE you?

This site is probably giving people the impression that I’m some kind of millionaire.  I’m actually not — not YET, anyway.  But just because we aren’t yet millionaires, doesn’t mean we’re not utterly wealthy and replete with luck.  My husband has the most secure job in the world and his income provides us with everything we could possibly need or want.  We are easily able to afford to give away a chunk of his salary every year, without ever having to give up anything that we want, including treats and splurges.  He supports me totally in this endeavor.  If we weren’t giving through this website, we’d simply be giving the same amount to more traditional charities instead.  This is just a lot more fun!

How much are you planning to give away?

This number is up for revision, of course, but at this point the plan is to give away $10,000 per year.   That could mean that I give away 10 gifts of $1000 each, 100 gifts of $100 each, or anything in between.  And what’s wonderful is that when I get more, I can give more!  I plan on winning lots of contests and in general having more of the kind of luck that I so often seem to have, with money appearing from nowhere in the oddest and most unexpected ways.   In fact, I feel certain that very soon, I will have LOTS more to give away. Just call it a hunch.

Shouldn’t you be giving to more traditional charities, instead?

Don’t worry, we do plenty of that, too.  But this website is different, and I mean it to be different.  Certain people just strike such a lovely chord in me.  When I “meet” a person like that, it’s not charity I want to give them. Just the opposite! I want to give them a gift of thanks, because I can see so clearly how much they give to the world, just by existing in it. And when I do manage to give a gift to a person like that, I feel a real kind of magic happening. As loony as it may sound, it feels like I am giving them far more than a small gift of money: It honestly feels like I’m transferring a bit of my luck and magic, as well. Now, giving to charities feels nice, but it can’t compare to that!

Isn’t this all just a little weird?

Yes!  Yes, it IS weird!  It is wonderfully, fantastically weird!  To be truthful, I am freaking myself out a little bit by doing this.  I am shy and would probably just die on the spot of embarrassment if anyone who knew me knew about this site.  (Handsome, supportive, fantastically wonderful husband excepted, of course.)  I seem totally and perfectly normal on the outside, but I definitely harbor vast and deep pools of strange on the inside.  I suspect many of us do.  Don’t you agree?
